Our Story

Although we had known each other for a while through friends of friends it was a while before getting together after slightly drunken night ‘down the "Postie" (local pub) in August 2004!  A week later we had our first official date, a night around Pauls house with the intention of watching a DVD!!!!  I soon fell for Paul, after his wicked sense of humour  (and dirty text messages!) won me over.  After a year of going out together, and a 2 week holiday in Pheonix,  Paul asked me to move in to his bachelor pad and I agreed. 

It was 18 months later that Paul plucked up the courage to propose whilst on holiday in Seattle.  In an Italian restaurant, Volterra, Paul popped the question in front of Lee (the bestman) and his wife Allison, and a restaurant full of people.  Whilst proposing a toast to a fantastic holiday, Paul turned to me with a beautiful ring and said ‘ so…on that note,  Katharine, will you marry me?’.  In astonishment, after a long pause and some tears, I replied… ‘YES, definitely!’  

On our arrival back home to the U.K., after breaking the happy news to EVERYBODY, the planning began … and the date and venue was set!
