The Venue - Quendon Hall, Parklands
Well we think we have found possibly the best venue ever to host our BIG Day. Quendon Hall in Essex; a large stately home set in the centre of a deer park with beautiful gardens and picturesque views.
We're having the Ceremony and Reception at Quendon Hall as it is easier for people during the day and we're not really into the Churchy thing ! We think you will enjoy the day and those of you who will be staying the night the rooms are out of this world.
The date of the wedding is 31st July 2008
A Bit of history....
According to the Domesday Survey, taken in 1085-’86, the land upon which Quendon Hall now stands belonged to one Eudo Dapifer, and afterwards it passed to the noble families of Mandeville, Bohun, and Stafford. In 1520, it had become the property of Thomas Newman, who built the Hall. The existing hall, now known as Parklands, was re-built around 1687 by John Turner, Esq. Moving forward in time…….Parklands, Quendon Hall, opened its doors as an exclusive wedding venue. At the end of the long winding drive you will see this beautiful 17th Century mansion. picturesque, with a herd of deer grazing in the sunlit grounds at the front of the mansion.
